Skin treatments performed by a specialist doctor that fit into a short stay or sit alongside another procedure, with an itemised quote before you travel.
Aesthetic medicine covers non-surgical treatments that aim to improve skin quality, texture and tone with little or no time off. Treatments are performed by a specialist doctor at our partner clinic in Istanbul. They can be booked on their own during a short visit or added to another procedure, and your itemised quote states the treatments, the number of sessions and what is included.
Hydrafacial is a non-invasive facial that cleanses, exfoliates and extracts impurities with a vacuum-assisted device, then infuses hydrating serums. Most people return to normal activity straight away. Scarlet X uses fractional radiofrequency delivered through microneedles to stimulate the skin, and is used for skin tightening, texture and some scars. It involves a few days of redness and sensitivity.
Mesotherapy uses a series of very small injections or microneedling to place hydrating and nutrient solutions in the skin, usually to improve skin quality. PRP and PRF use a concentrate prepared from your own blood, applied or injected into the skin, and are used for skin rejuvenation and, in some patients, hair. Evidence for results varies between products and people, and your doctor will explain what is realistic.
Microneedling (such as Dermapen) creates controlled micro-injuries to stimulate the skin and is used for texture, fine lines and some scars. Chemical peels remove the surface layers of the skin to improve tone and texture. Redness and sensitivity for a few days are common after the stronger treatments.

Often yes, for example alongside a facelift or eyelid surgery. The doctor or surgeon advises on timing, because some skin treatments are best done before or after surgery.
It depends on the treatment. Gentler treatments usually have little. Microneedling and stronger peels can leave redness, swelling and sensitivity for a few days. Your doctor will explain what to expect for the treatment you choose.
Seek local medical care first if you need urgent help, for example for spreading redness, severe pain or signs of infection. The treating clinic remains responsible for agreed follow-up and we help coordinate communication with them. We do not provide medical care.

What to know before you travel and after you return.
These treatments rarely restrict flying, but your doctor will advise. Protect treated skin from sun and avoid heavy make-up on the day of travel. Ask your surgeon about compression stockings and moving regularly on the flight.
Operative notes, the discharge summary and any results are provided in English and forwarded to your UK GP on request. The treating hospital remains responsible for agreed follow-up. If you need urgent care at home, seek local medical help straight away. We can help coordinate communication with the hospital, but we do not provide post-operative medical care. Read what to do if something goes wrong.
You pay no coordination fee. We are paid by the hospital you are treated at, and we tell you this upfront. Deposits, payment schedules and refund terms are set by the hospital and confirmed in writing in your quote before you pay anything. Cancellation terms are in your coordination agreement — see the brokerage agreement.
Standard travel policies often exclude planned treatment and its complications, so check your cover and its exclusions before you travel. If you would like, we can introduce you to an FCA-authorised insurance provider offering medical-travel cover. We may receive a commission if you take out a policy. You are free to choose any provider, there is no obligation, and we do not give insurance advice.
